Nirvaya Gang Rape Convict’s Interview Row: MHA seeks Report From Tihar Jail Chief

Home Ministry Tuesday sought a detailed report from the Tihar jail chief on the issue of interviewing 16th December Delhi gangrape convict Mukesh Singh by a British film maker.

An official sources said, taking the incident seriously Home Minister spoke to Tihar jail Director General and sought a report on it.

Media reports said that a British filmmaker were given permission to interview bus driver Mukesh Singh, who was awarded death sentence for the brutal rape and murder of a 23-year-old girl.

Meanwhile Delhi Police has registered an FIR in connection with the controversial interview of a convict in Delhi Gangrape case. Talking to reporters Delhi Police commissioner B S Bassi said that the police has started its investigation.
