AAP Turmoil : Arvindi Kejriwal Resigns From Post of Convener

04 March, New Delhi

Ahead of crucial National Executive meet, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Wednesday tendered his resignation from the post of AAP Convener, saying he can not do justice by holding both Chief Minister and Convener’s posts.

Kejriwal had earlier offered to quit from the post on the 26th of last month but it was rejected unanimously by the party.

Senior party leader Prashant Bhushan has also offered to resign from AAP Political Affairs Committee.

The National Executive Meeting of the party is being held this afternoon in New Delhi to discuss the ongoing crisis following criticism by Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav that the party was becoming one person-centric.

Kejriwal’s resignation as Convener will also be discussed in the meeting.
