PM says ‘cow vigilantes’ indulging in anti-social activities
06 August, New Delhi
Coming down heavily on those organisations who intimidate and victimise in the name of ‘sewa’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said anti-social elements have opened their shops and calling it a “Gau Raksha”.
“Gau Raksha ke naam par dukaane kholkar baith gaye hain, mujhe gussa aata hai, (they have opened shops in the name of cow protection, I get so angry),” Modi said replying to questions at a town hall event on completing two years of MyGov.
He said some people indulge in anti-social activities in entire night and wear “Chola of Gau Rakshak”.
The Prime Minister’s outburst came at time when ugly incidents of beating innocent people by so called cow vigilantes have been reported from several parts of the country.
