Odisha Chit Fund Scam Tainted Ruling BJD MLA Pravat Tripathy Released From Jail.

The ruling Biju Janta Dal MLAWednesday released from Special Jail , Bhubaneswar on compliance of the Odisha High Court conditions.

The Senior BJD leader was arrested by CBI in connection with multi-crore Chit Fund scam and particularly for his alleged link with the Bhubaneswar based Chit Fund Firm Artha Tatwa Group.
The CBI has already filed a preliminary charge sheet in the Artha Tatwa Group case naming Tripathy and several other directors of the company as accused. Tripathy has been in jail since his arrest on 31 October, 2014 .

Odisha High Court Tuesday had granted conditional bail to Tripathy on a bond of Rs.10 lakh and asked him to surrender his passport.

The court had also asked the lawmaker to cooperate with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) during its ongoing inquiry in the chit fund scam.
