Welcoming the judgement of the Bombay High Court allowing entry of women into the restricted grave area of the Haji Ali Dargah, veteran Bollywood writer Salim Khan today said the verdict endorses what Hadees and Quran have said.

”High Court judgement on Haji Ali endorses what Hadees and Quran have said. To be a good Muslim you have to be a good human being,” the father of superstar Salman Khan tweeted.”Mazar & Durga are graves men & women both can visit them as there is no gender discrimination in Islam. Mullas & Maulvis are complicating an uncomplicated religion like Islam. Even fatwa is not a verdict as people think, its an opinion given by an Islamic scholar,” Khan tweeted.

In a major victory for women, the Bombay High Court yesterday ruled that there can be no discrimination on who is allowed to enter the inner sanctorum of the famous Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai and women are allowed in inner sanctum, the Bombay High Court said in its ruling.

The court also directed the state government to give necessary protection to the respondents. The court passed its order on the plea filed by a women’s group challenging the ban on entry of women inside the inner sanctorum of the Haji Ali Dargah.
