Expo on sexology, signature campaign, human chain to mark World Sexual Health Day from Sep 2-4

A three-day exhibition on sexology,exclusive for men, would be held here from September two to four in connection with the World Sexual Health Day.
The expo would be organised by the Kamaraj Multispeciality Hospitals in the city, which would also launch a signature campaign to collect one million signatures during the three-day event and form human chain involving 10,000 people on September four to create awareness on sexual health among the people.
Talking to reporters here Hospital Founders Dr K Kamarajand Dr Jeyarani Kamaraj said sexual knowledge in India was very low. There was a general perception among the people that discussing sex related issues was obscene and immoral.
Stating that sex related problems and complications were quite normal, they said the hospital offers varioustypes of solutions for all problems.
Pointing out that 40 per cent of the marriages end up in failure due to sex related issues, they said complete cure was available if they approach the doctors and get proper treatment.
They said on behalf of the World Association of Sexual Health, every year September four was celebrated as International Sexual Health Day.
The Indian Sexology Association, which is a charter member of the World Association of Sexual Health, wouldcelebrate the occasion with the theme ‘Sexual Health,Eliminate the Myth’.
The three-day expo will be highlighting many sex related topics like impotence, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, impotency due to alcohol addiction, male infertility anddiabetes, infertility, and the treatment options available.
”We are expecting about 20,000 visitors for the expoand a giant banner will be erected for the signature campaign in which the visitors will sign to create awareness on sexual health;”, they said.
