Dr K K Aggarwal elected IMA’s National President for 2016-17

Indian Medical Association (IMA) has announced a new team of its office-bearers with Dr K K Aggarwal being unanimously elected as the National President of the Association for the year 2016-17.

The new team will take over on December 28 at the Holy City of Amritsar, an official from the IMA said. ”Dr KK Aggarwal who is currently Secretary General of IMA has been declared unanimously elected as National President of IMA for the year 2016-17,” the official said.

Dr Ravi Wankhedkar from Maharashtra will be the National President for the year 2017-18.

Dr R N Tandon will take over as Secretary General.
Dr Mahendra Choudhury from Gujarat, Dr Parmanand Prasad Pal from Bihar, Dr K Prakasam fromTamil Nadu and Dr Roy Abhram Kallivayalil from Kerala will take over as Vice Presidents for theyear 2017-2018.

Indian Medical Association is the only representative, national voluntary organisation of doctors of modern scientific system of medicine, which looks after the interest of doctors as well as the well-being of the community at large.

It has its headquarter in Delhi and branches in 29 States and Union Territories. It has over 2, 53,000 doctors as its members through more than 1650 active local branches spread across the country.
