President , PM greet Nation on Holi

The festival of colours, Holi is being celebrated in different parts of the country today Friday .

President, Vice President and Prime Minister have greeted the nation on the occasion. In a message, President Pranab Mukherjee said that the festival of colours promotes oneness and harmony as well as bring happiness and prosperity to all.

He appealed to the people to use the festival to spread the fame and fragrance of country’s composite culture far and wide. Vice President Hamid Ansari has said that Holi, which marks the onset of spring, is celebrated throughout the country by everyone, irrespective of class, creed or origin.

He said, it symbolizes the unity in diversity of the country.

In his message, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed hope that the festival will bring lot of joys in people’s life.
