16 September, Islamabad

In Pakistan, at least 25 people were killed and 30 others injured in a blast Friday. A security source said a suicide bomber targeted a mosque in Mohmand Agency’s Anbar tehsil in Peshawar during Friday prayers.

The source said that the suicide bomber blew himself up in the veranda of the mosque. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but Pakistani Taliban in particular routinely attack soft targets such as courts, schools and mosques.

The attack comes on a day when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif vowed to continue the war against militancy and terrorism till elimination of the last terrorist.
