Protest Demonstration In Assam Against Barbaric Killing Of Alleged Rapist

Protest continues at several places in Assam against the barbaric killing of an alleged rapist of Karimganj district in Dimapur.

Terming the incident as barbaric, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that nobody should be allowed to take law into their own hands and culprits should be punished.

Stating that the incident of rape is also condemnable, Gogoi said that he and State Chief Secretary talked to their Nagaland counterparts on this issue.

Asom Gana Parishad, BJP, AIUDF and civil society organizations have also condemned the incident.
