ICC World Cup : India First From Pool B To Be In QF , Beat WI By 4 Wickets
In a fantastic Holy Greetings , Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni guided India to victory in a low scoring match against West Indies at Perth in a Pool B of Cricket World Cup Friday.
Chasing a moderate target of 183 with off to a dodgy start , India won the match 10.5 overs to go. Dhoni was 45 not out along with Aswini 16 not out. Both scored 64 runs for 7th Wicket.
India were 185 for 6 in 39.1 over .
Kohli and Raina were out for 33 and 22 respectively.
This is India’s fourth straight win in the World Cup and topped the point table with 8 points in Group B . Shami , who bagged three important WI wickets for 35 ,was adjudged the Player of the Match.
For WI Russell and Taylor bagged two wickets each.
Earlier, India bundled out the West Indies side for a paltry score of 182 in just 44.2 overs. The match being played at Perth witnessed disciplined Indian bowling.
