India making a mark in pharmaceutical industry, says Nadda

Union Health Minister J P Nadda has said that India has made a mark in the pharmaceutical industry. Speaking at a programme in Guwahati Wednesday, he said due to affordability and quality, India posed a challenge to the Western countries.
Nadda said that his ministry is trying to strengthen the health delivery system in North East. The Union Minister assured to help North Eastern states in procurement and Human Resource issues in health sector.
Assam Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Centre has sanctioned four new medical colleges in the state.
Union Health Secretary C K Mishra has stressed on maintaining quality of drugs.He said that Health ministry has formulated a pro- active policy for the betterment of health scenario of North East.
