Nitish Kumar elected JDU national president for second time

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been elected unopposed as JD(U)’s National President for the second consecutive time.

Kumar’s election will be ratified at the party’s two-day national council meeting at Rajgir beginning on the 16th of this month.

Our correspondent reports that Nitish Kumar was nominated JD(U) President for the first time on April 10th this year by the party’s national executive, after the then president Sharad Yadav resigned from the post, saying he did not want to continue for fourth term.
