Lok Sabha Speaker calls all party meeting tomorrow

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has called an all party meeting tomorrow ahead of the winter session of Parliament beginning Wednesday.

During the meeting, Mrs Mahajan will discuss ways to ensure smooth functioning of the House with floor leaders of the parties.

The Government has also convened an all-party meeting on Tuesday to seek cooperation from leaders of both the Houses for smooth functioning of Parliament.

The month-long winter session of Parliament will continue till 16th of next month.

Sources said, legislations relating to Goods and Services Tax will come up for consideration and passage.

Besides, issues like demonetisation of 500 and 1000 rupee notes and surgical strike by Army across LoC are likely to come up for discussion.
