Kejriwal hits out at Centre, terms demonetisation as biggest scam of independent India
16 November, New New Delhi
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Wednesday hit out at the Centre over demonetisation, calling the move as the biggest scam of independent India and alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cheated the country.
“Demonetisation is the biggest scam of independent India. After taking money from the rich people they have made common man to stand in queues with empty stomach. Modiji cheated the country,” the Chief Minister alleged in a tweet.
The AAP convenor said that West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee will also address his public meeting over demonetisation in Azadpur Mandi here tomorrow along with him.
“Against demonetisation, I will hold a public meeting at Azadpur Mandi tomorrow at 1100 hrs. Mamata Banerjee will also address the gathering,” Kejriwal said in another tweet.
The Chief Minister urged the people to participate in the gathering. However, Kejriwal today skipped the All India Trinamool Congress protest march to the President’s House over the demonetisation issue but the party’s representation was made by its MP Bhagwant Mann.
