PM Modi slams demonetisation detractors, says hoarders didn’t get time to prepare

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that the legitimate money of the people of the country is completely safe, terming the common citizen of India as soldiers against corruption and black money while insisting that world is changing and India must move towards cashless economy.

Speaking after releasing two books on Constitution in New Delhi this morning, Mr. Modi said, now people can spend also through latest mobile technology. He said, the world is changing and India must move towards cashless economy.

Defending the government’s decision to demonetise 500 and 1000 rupee currency notes, Mr. Modi said some are angry on the initiative as they were not informed before the decision was considered. He said that those who did not get time to change notes are upset.

The Prime Minister said, it is important to be connected with the spirit of the Constitution and to be aware of the various articles of it. He said though the nation celebrates Republic Day on 26th January with pride, however without Constitution Day celebration that is November 26th, Republic Day is incomplete.

The Prime Minister said that 26th November was decided to be observed as Constitution Day to celebrate the Constitution and to create awareness among the youth.
