Will not hesitate to ”gouge out eyes” if provoked by enemy:Parrikar

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has said thatthough India was not in favour of war but would not hesitate to”gouge out eyes” if provoked by the enemy.

Addressing a rally in Aldona assembly constituency in Goa, around20 km from the city, last night, he said,”We do not want to wagewar, but anyone who has set a crooked eye on the country, thegovernment has the strength to gouge out their eyes and put them intheir hands”

Over the last three days, the borders are quiet, because if weare fired upon once, we fire twice. Tit for tat. Stone for a brick.When they realised this, they came to us and said enough,” he said.

Stating that Indian Armed Forces were fully prepared to face anysituation, he recalled that his mother had taught him that ifsomeone was going to hunt a rabbit, he should be prepared to kill a tiger.

When I went to the Centre, you can say with pride to the entirecountry, that one of our own went there and slapped the enemy, whichin the past was glaring at us, four times across its cheeks, Parrikar said.

Union Minister for AYUSH, Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar,Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza and others also addressed the rally.
