Former UP Minister DP Yadav Sentenced To Life In1992 Bhati Murder Case

A special CBI court in Dehradun Tuesday sentenced former Uttar Pradesh minister D P Yadav to life in the 1992 Mahendra Singh Bhati murder case.

Three others were also sentenced to life in the case. Bhati, who was the MLA from Ghaziabad’s Dadri area was gunned down by down at the Dadri railway crossing in Uttar Pradesh.

The judgement was given by special CBI Judge Amit Kumar Sirohi. The CBI had taken up the case in 1993, and had submitted a charge sheet against eight persons, four of whom died during the trial.
