Muslims again give land for PM rally in UP on Dec 11

Amid criticism of Prime Minister’s decision to demonetise high currency notes particularly by members of the minority community, a Muslim has offered his land to organise Parivartan rally here on December 11.

The proposed rally would be held in Vishwaria village, at Nanpara-Bahraich road around 40 km from the district headquarters.

The district administration required 10 hectare of land to hold PM’s rally at that proposed site at the village. The ground had an area of 4 hectares and the rest of the land belonged to farmers of that village.

District President of BJP Shyamkaran Tekdiwal spoke to four farmers to allow their land to be used to hold rally. “All of them agreed. One of them is Shahzad a farmer from Muslim community who too has agreed to give 4 bigha of his land for rally purpose,” Tekdiwal said here today. He said Shehzad had sown Arhar in his field and was ready to be harvested. He not only agreed but complete the harvesting on Sunday and handed over the field to the district administration for use.

“Shehzad had told District Magistrate that PM is doing such a good job. He was happy to vacate his land to organise his rally in the village,” BJP district president said. In fact it is not the first time when Muslim farmers had allowed their land to be used to PM’s rally.

When Modi addressed a rally in Saharanpur on May 26 after completion of two years in office two Muslim farmers had vacated almost 20 bigha of land. Raees allowed BJP to use his 8 bigha land while another farmer Munawwar gave 12 bigha land for construction of a temporary helipad for the PM’s helicopter next to the rally ground. The PM’s rally was held at Cosmos Green Ground on Delhi Road in Saharanpur, which falls in Chinheti Garda village.
