Lalu compares demonetisation with forced sterlization during Congress regime

Comparing demonetisation with forced sterlization during Congress regime, RJD chief Lalu Prasad today said a similar fate awaited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pro-rich decision to scrap high value notes.

Intensifying his attack on Prime Minister, the RJD chieftain told his party leaders and workers that demonetisation would feet with same fate as forced strelization carried out under the then Indira Gandhi government in the 70s.

Prasad, who had called a meeting to chalk out strategies for launching an agitation against demonetisation, said “yah notebandi nahi farjibandi hai” (It is not demonetisation but a fraud on poor people).

The RJD chief said poor, farmers and labourers were suffering misaries of worst kind due to PM’s obduracy as he had concern for only two per cent of the population which hold key to stock exchange behaviour. Poor people continue to struggle to make both ends meet and are spending their time in queues outside ATMs and banks while the rich were having a great time, he said.
