PM Modi Holds Talks With President Scychelles James Alix Michel

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held to one-to-one and delegation level talks with the President of Seychelles James Alix Michel in Victoria today Wednesday.

Earlier, Modi was given a ceremonial reception at the State House by the Seychelles President.

Agreements and MOUs are likely to be signed between both the countries in the fields of Defence, maritime security and renewable energy in the presence of both the leaders, according to official sources.

Before his departure to Mauritius this afternoon, Modi will unveil plaque and operationalisation of Radar for Coastal Security Radar System CSRS at Ma Josephine in Mahe. He will also be given civic reception at Mahe and President Michel will host a lunch in his honour.

Modi is accompanied with National Security advisor Ajit Doval, foreign Secretary Dr S Jaishankar and other dignitaries. Modi will also be visiting to Sri Lanka in his last leg of first five day official visit.
