IDBI Bank strike on Feb 6 as Conciliation meeting fails

About 2000 Employees working in IDBI Bank have decided to observe a one-day All-India strike tomorrow in view ofthe three-day conciliation meeting held between Union andManagement in Mumbai over their demands had yielded no result.
‘Despite the reasonable standof the Union to find an amicablesolution to their demands likewage revision, recruitments andoutsourcing, the IDBI Bank management took a very negative attitude and hence no agreement could be reached’, All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) General Secretary Ch Venkatachalamtold UNI here Sunday.
He said other banks will extend support to IDBI Bank by holding demonstrations and in Chennai it will be held at IDBI Bank, Anna Salai. Venkatachalam said thewage revision is overdue in IDBI Bank from November 2017.
