Raj Babbar falls ill after release of SP-Cong alliance CMP in Lucknow
11 February, Lucknow
Uttar Pradesh Congress President Raj Babbar, who was sharing dais along with AICC Vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, during the release of the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance here at a star hotel, suddenly fell ill.
Sources here said Babbar’s Blood Pressure (BP) suddenly shot up during the press conference, so he took rest for an hour at the same hotel, where doctors attended him.
After he was normalised, Babbar, who was scheduled to address three public meetings, including rallies at Tilhar and Palia in Lakhimpur Kheri district Saturday, left for New Delhi in the afternoon.
The meetings were later addressed by senior Congress leader Rajeev Shukla and others.
