TN Assembly to meet on Feb 18 for Palaniswami to seek trust vote

Hours after swearing-in Edappadi K Palaniswami as the newChief Minister alongwith his Cabinet, TamilNadu Governor Ch.Vidyasagar Rao hasconvened a special sitting of the StateAssembly on February 18 to enable him(Palaniswami) to prove his majority.

An official release here tonight said,the Governor with the powers vested in himhas convened the Assembly to meet at 1100 hrs on February 18 (Saturday) toenable Palaniswami to prove hismajority.

Earlier, Palaniswami was sworn-inas 13th CM along with his Council ofMinisters ending the nearly 10 daylong political stalemate following thepower struggle within the rulingAIADMK.
