Creation Of Chief Defence Staff Post For Integration Of 3 Services In The Offing : Parrikar

Government of India is working out a mechanism for the creation of a post of Chief of Defence
Staff( CDS) with a fixed tenure.

Speaking at a conference in New Delhi Friday , Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said integration of the three Services is a must.

The Minister said he will recommend the mechanism for Chief of Defence Staff in a couple of months. He said the final decision will be taken by the Cabinet Committee on Security.
