TDP leaders misbehave with Commissioner, CM reprimands

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu Sunday reprimanded theTelugu Desam Party leaders for their excessive behaviour with Transport Commissioner Subramanyam.
Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas, MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and MLC Buddha Venkanna, accompanied by their followers, went to theTransport Commissioner’s office yesterday and shouted on Commissioner Subramanyam for issuing permissions to private buses. Mr Umamaheshwara Rao even manhandled the gunman of the IPS officer. However, the Transport Commissioner kept quiet during the time of the incident.
As the news channels telecasted the MLA manhandling the gunmen repeatedly and the leaders shouting on the Commissioner in public glare, the Opposition YSRCP, which is waiting for an opportunity to attack the ruling party, got the incident as a weapon to counter it in the ongoing Assembly.
The IPS officer’s Association, the Police Welfare Association and the Transport Employees Association condemned the excessive behaviour of the TDP leaders with the Commissioner. Naidu summoned the leaders to his residence today and reprimanded them for their behaviour with Subramanyam.
Talking to media, the MLA and other leaders said they admit their mistake and added they were going to meet the Commissioner to tender an apology on the incident. The Transport Commissioner talking to media said the TDP leaders apologised to him and the Chief Minister had also spoken on the incident. Meanwhile, addressing the press, YSRCP MLASrikanth Reddy and Spokesperson K Parthasarathi condemned the incident. They asked why the Chief Minister is hesitating to take action against the TDP leaders.
APCC Spokesperson Kolanukonda Shivaji demanded the arrest of TDP MLA for manhandling the gunman of the IPS officer.
