Nadda allows MCI to inspect Odisha medical college

nion Health Minister J P Nadda Thursday decided to allow the Medical Council of India (MCI) to inspect some government medical colleges in Odisha and submit a report by May 24.

The decision was taken at a meeting between the Union Health minister and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resolve pending issues of the Pandit Ragunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital, Baripada, Odisha. The problems being faced by some government medical colleges regarding inspection by the MCI were also raised.

Also present at today’s meeting were the Principal Secretary (Health), Government of Odisha along with senior officers of the Health Ministry, including Health Secretary C K Mishra.

The Principal Secretary (Health), Odisha informed that the state government has taken necessary action for compliance, an official statement here said.
