BJP, Congress demand resignation of Kejriwal over money laundering, Hawala transaction

BJP has demanded resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his alleged role in money laundering and Hawala transaction. Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi demanded a thorough probe into the matter.

She said, Aam Aadmi Party is one man party which is indulging in corrupt practices and filling the coffers of their families. Mrs Lekhi said, Mr Kejriwal came to power promising to end corruption but is now himself indulging in corrupt practices. Mrs Lekhi said, Aam Aadmi Party misled public and broke their trust and people of the national capital are fed-up with Delhi government.

Earlier in the day, Sacked Aam Aadmi Party MLA Kapil Mishra has accused Mr Kejriwal of laundering money and having hawala links. He has also alleged that Mr Kejriwal and his close aides are involved in converting black money into white.

Congress has demanded resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal following charges of money laundering and hawala links leveled by sacked Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra.

Briefing media, Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken alleged that AAP is getting funds from separatist groups that have pro-Khalistan connections. He questioned why no FIR has been registered against Mr Kejriwal and AAP.
