Better to do penance instead of revenge: Yogendra on Kapil’s apology to him & Bhushan

A day after sacked Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra apologised for not standing by him then, former Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav today said that it was better for him to do ‘penance’ instead of indulging in ‘revenge’.
“Even if you knew everything then what were you doing there for the past two years? For you, its better to do penance rather than indulging in revenge.Today, you pointed to the truth of that incident, but if you think rightly then you will put the whole truth in front of the country,” the president of Swaraj India wrote in his letter addressed to Mishra.
Yadav said instead of seeking apologies from Prashant Bhushan and him, he should have apologised to volunteers, supporters and millions of people who have been cheated.
”A lot of time has passed, yet your public apology will help to fill the old wounds of many friends. Seeing the role of you (Kapil) and many of your colleagues at that time (especially in the castle resort ) when we were expelled from the party, my belief was shaken,” he wrote.
“Let me give you a suggestion? Stop everyday’s press conference against Kejriwal. I do not say that all your charges are wrong. Some of the allegations are weighty, although the rest do not have any proof yet. But hearing of the allegations day and night, the AAP will not be cleared, whatever faith people have in honest politics, it will definitely get over,” Yadav said.
On his (Kapil’s) apology, the former AAP leader said, “Who does not commit mistake, but everyone does not dare to apologise.”
Yesterday, the sacked AAP Minister had said that he made a mistake by not paying heed to the concerns expressed by former party leaders (Prashant and Yogendra) about growing dictatorship in the party.
“I apologise to them that I did not pay heed to their concerns said and this was the biggest mistake. At the behest of Arvind Kejriwal, I have said wrong things about them,” he had said.
The Karwal Nagar MLA has been issuing acerbic comments against Kejriwal since his removal from the Delhi Cabinet.
He had charged the Chief Minister with taking Rs 2-crore from his Cabinet colleague Satyendar Jain and also levelled allegations that AAP had received donation through ‘Hawala’.
On May 10, he also sat on a hunger strike, demanding that the AAP make public the foreign trip details of its top party leaders including Ashish Khetan and Raghav Chadha.
