Furor In Rajya Sabha Over Sharad Yadav’s Remark on Complexion Of S.Indian Women

The Rajya Sabha Monday witnessed heated argument between the ruling BJP and some opposition members on the comment of JDU leader Sharad Yadav on the complexion of South Indian women.
As soon as the House met for the day, Communications and Information and Technology Minister Ravishankar Prasad said that he disapproves the comment of Yadav.
The JD(U) leader said he is ready for a discussion over his remarks.
Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani urged him not to make comments about the colour and said there should be no discrimination on the basis of complexion.
Deputy chairman P J Kurien asked the agitating members to close the issue saying that as there no difference between the white and black complexions.
