Army Major dies after falling from pony en route Vaishno Devi

An Army Major today died after falling from a pony on way to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine situated in Trikuta Hills of mountainous Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Major Pardeep Singh,36, son of Brigadier Kamal Singh Chauhan, resident of Shaim Nagar, Kanpur UP, presently posted at 87 Brigade, Udhampur fell from pony near Indarprasth Adhkuwari,” police here said.

They said that he was shifted to the nearby dispensary at Adhkuwari where doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased was a brother of IAS ranked lady officer of J&K Cadre.
