Sports Minister felicitates Rohan Bopanna

Union Sports Minister Vijay Goel Wednesday felicitated French Open Mixed Doubles Winner Rohan Bopanna in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Goel said Bopanna has made the country proud with this achievement. He said Bopanna has been playing the game for the past 17 years with dedication.

He further said the Ministry has come to know about the tennis academy set up by Bopanna and the Government is committed towards providing each possible aid to such kind of private academies across the country.

This is Rohan’s maiden grand slam title and he is the only forth Indian to have clinched such big title. Tennis Federation of India has nominated Rohan’s name for Arjuna Award.
