South Africa Takes On Sri Lanka In First QF Of ICC World Cup Wednesday

South Africa will take on Sri Lanka in Sydney in the first quarterfinal of the ongoing 11th edition of World Cup Cricket championship tomorrow Wednesday .

Proteas have never won a World Cup knockout match since their tournament debut in 1992. However both the teams seem evenly matched with South Africa, like Sri Lanka having won four and lost two of
their pool matches.

The free-spirited islanders from the Asian subcontinent, fortified by the star performers Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardena are pitted against the method and flair of the strongest African cricket-playing nation.

It is going to be a classic showdown between Sri Lanka’s sinewy grace and South Africa’s grim determination.

The first quarterfinal of the World Cup is surely going to be an exiting affair.

As per the Quarter Final fixtures of the 11th edition of the tournament , South Africa will clash with Sri Lanka on Wednesday in the first quarterfinal .

The India-Bangladesh will clash in the second quarterfinal slated for Thursday February 19 at Melbourne .

The Australia-Pakistan quarterfinal is scheduled for Friday, February20 at Adelaide and the fourth Quarter final would be held at Wellington on Friday ,Feb 21 between New Zealand and West Indies .

If India wins, it will either play Pakistan or Australia for a place in the final.
