Venkaiah Naidu Seeks Explanation From BJP MPs Absent During Voting On Land Bill In Lok Sabha

Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has sought an explanations from the BJP’s MPs who were absent during voting in the Lok Sabha on Land Bill at the BJP parliamentary party meeting Tuesday.
According to sources, the names of the MPs who were not present during voting were announced and asked them to stand up in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Among those whose names were reportedly called out at the meeting were Rajendra Agrawal, Kamlesh Paswan, Poonam Mahajan, Varun Gandhi, Pritam Gopinath Munde and Babul Supriyo.
The BJP parliamentary board meeting was held as the Opposition parties staged a protest march and submit a memorandum against the new land bill to President Pranab Mukherjee, terming it as anti-farmer.
