Four Spain Nationals among five killed as mini-bus collides with Container truck

In a ghastly road accident, five people, including four Spain Nationals, were killed and seven others injured when the mini-bus in which they were travelling collided with a container truck at Yatalavanka village of Punganuru Mandal in Chittoor district, Saturday.

Police said that a group of Spain Nationals had taken up voluntary health services under Rural Development Trust (RDT) in Rayalaseema region. As part the services, a nine-member Spain National team visited an RDT centre in Anantapur yesterday.

While they were proceeding to Pondicherry from Ananthapur, the accident occurred killing the four Spain Nationals on the spot. Another deceased was identified as the driver of the mini-bus, police added.

The injured were admitted to government hospital in Madanapalle. However, the condition of two of them is stated to be very critical.
