Bihar government will spend Rs 100 crore for promoting tourism in Nalanda district

Bihar Tourism Minister Pramod Kumar  said the state government would spend Rs 100 crore for developing tourism in Nalanda district.

Kumar told newspersons here Saturday  that besides world standard hotels, other facilities would be created in the district.

He said a proposal to the Centre had been sent for its approval. He said facilities would be created at Nalanda, Rajgir and Bodh Gaya for developing Buddhist circuit.

While over Rs 48.12 lakh would be spent for developing famous pilgrim centre of Jains at Kundalpur, more than Rs 61.96 lakh would be spent to create infrastructure at another tourism centre of Nepura in Nalanda district.
