2011 Beating Case : Non-Bailable Warrant Issued Against Former Minister Siddique Ahmed

The chief Judicial Magistrate, Karimganj in Assam has issued a non-bailable warrant against former minister and South Karimganj MLA Siddique Ahmed in connection with a 2011 beating case.

The court has directed police to produce Ahmed on or before March 25. According to police sources, during 2011 assembly election, Ahmed, along with his aides, had allegedly beaten Rejaul Karim.

Later; Karim filed a case with Nilambazar police station under the Sections 341, 325, 326, 307 and 34 of the IPC.
