Ranveer to play Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s next

Actor Ranveer Singh, who transformed his look to play Alauddin Khilji in ‘Padmavati’, will soon transform into a cricketer for Kabir Khan’s next.

The actor will play the role of 1983 World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev in a film.Trade analyst and movie critic Taran Adarsh today took to the Twitter and break the news.

He wrote, “BreakingNews: Ranveer Singh will turn cricketer #KapilDev in Kabir Khan’s sports-based film… #1983 #WorldCup. (sic).”India had won the World Cup at the Lords’ in Lodon in 1983 against two-time champion West Indies and brought the coveted trophy home for the first time.
