Delhi AAP Govt. Denies Financial Aid To 3 Municipal Bodies

Delhi Government has expressed its inability to grant any financial aid to the cash-strapped three municipal bodies and asked them to seek the Centre’s help.
A delegation of three Mayors of the BJP-led municipal corporations in the national capital met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at Delhi Secretariat and sought funds to meet requirements.
During the meeting, Kejriwal told them that the government’s financial situation is not good as there was a deficit of 4,000 crore rupees in revenue target during the last one year.
He said, although Delhi government wants to help the civic agencies but in view of the financial situation it is unable to do so. He also suggested the Mayors to seek funds from the Centre.
Kejriwal also informed that Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia will soon meet the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to seek funds.
