Masked Men Attack Church In Navi Mumbai

Three unidentified men attacked the St George Catholic Church in New Panvel, Navi Mumbai in the wee hours of Saturday by hurling stones inside the church compound and damaging the glass enclosure of the statue of Saint George.

According to the church authorities, three people came on bikes around 2am late Friday night, threw stones at the statue and sped way. The incident was captured on the CCTV cameras installed in that area.

However, the church authorities said that the attackers were masked and could not been identified. While, Navi Mumbai Police said that they have started investigating the matter with the help of CCTV footage and witnesses.

Police also informed that a case has been registered at Khandeshwar police station. However, no arrest has been made so far.
