PM Modi Is Scheduled To Visit Rourkela On April 1

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha’s Steel City of Rourkela on 1st of next month.

Informing about Prime Minister’s visit to Rourkela, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, told media persons that Modi will dedicate the modernisation project of the Rourkela Steel Plant to the nation.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the expansion of the existing airstrip in the steel city during his visit.

He is also scheduled to address a public meeting and attend some other functions at Rourkela.

Most of the projects under the modernisation programme of the Rourkela Steel Plant that had begun in January, 2008 at a cost of 12,000 crore rupees have now been completed.
