A Sanskrit University Would Be Set Up In Sikkim : Chamling

Sikkim will soon have a Sanskrit University. Besides, a Sanskrit Learning Academy too will be opened in the State.

Chief Minister Pawan Chamling announced this at the valedictory session of a three-day long All India Vedic Conference at the Siddheshwar Dham temple complex near Namchi in South Sikkim district Sunday evening.

He also announced construction of an Ashram in the State for the Scholars and holding of a yearly workshop on the Vedas from the next year.

Chamling assured that development, conservation and promotion of Sanskrit will continue to be given priority in the State.
