PM Modi to inaugurate Ballabhgarh Metro Tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the Ballabhgarh Metro at Sultanpur village in Gurugram district on November 19, an official spokesperson said .
With the inauguration, Ballabhgarh will become the fourth city in Haryana to get Metro connectivity after Gurugram, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh.
The spokesperson said that the 3.2-km-long Escorts MujesarRaja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh) section of the Kashmere GateEscorts Mujesar corridor also known as the Violet Line is now ready for passenger operations. After the opening of this extension, the entire Kashmere GateRaja Nahar Singh Metro corridor will become 46.6-km- long.
Currently, Metro lines in Haryana is covering a distance of 25.8 km.
The extended line will connect the city of Ballabhgarh with the National Capital.
“Ballabhgarh is an upcoming urban settlement which is an industrial city. Large numbers of people travel every day for their professional requirements from Ballabhgarh to Delhi and vice-versa. This corridor will be of help to these people,” he said.
The Raja Nahar Singh Station in Ballabhgarh is situated adjacent to Ballabhgarh Interstate Bus Terminal and Ballabhgarh Railway Station. The station, is a five storey building, having two commercial floors above track level. The station is having parking on the other site of the National Highway2 which will be directly connected to the station via a Foot Over Bridge.
The Sant Surdas (Sihi) Station is situated near National Council for Cement and Building Material Institute.
Modi would also inaugurate the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway at village Sultanpur in Gurugram district on the same day, the spokesperson said.
A sum of Rs 6,400 crore has been spent on the expressway project and 3,846 acre of land was acquired at a cost of Rs 2,788 crore, he said.
Under this project, the KMP Expressway was to be made four-lane, but it remained incomplete. The present State government has got this project resumed and made it in six-lane.
The objective of this expressway is to provide high speed link of Northern Haryana with Southern Districts and provide uninterrupted high-speed link for traffic, especially Commercial traffic, from Haryana to neighbouring States. It would also decongest the road traffic from National Capital and thereby reduce pollution.
He said that two rows of shrubs will be planted in the median. Apart from this, two rows, on each side, of tress like neem, arjun, and sheesham would be planted near extreme end of row. He said that four sites earmarked for Wayside Amenities. Apart from this, drip irrigation system would be adopted for median plantation to conserve and save water. Fountains, historical and cultural monuments have been made at various locations to improve the aesthetic look of the expressway.
The spokesperson said that highway lighting along the 83 km stretch from Kundli to Manesar has been made for safety of the road users during night time. A world class Art and Culture Gallery has been set up to depict the project development history through 3D Holographic models. He said that one ambulance, one crane and one police patrolling vehicle with a helpline number have been stationed in every 20 km for speedy response in case of accidents or emergencies.
