Ollywood actor , director Hara Patnaik passes away

Veteran Ollywood actor, director and screenplay writer HaraPatnaik died of Cancer at the Sparsh Haspital in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday .Patnaik 57 slipped into comma two days ago during treatment following prolonged illness.
He was survived by his wife and two daughters.
Most renowned and credible villain in Ollywood ,Patnaik was born on October 12,1958 at Cuttack.
Started his career as an artist through theatre made his Ollywood dubut in 1985 with”Sahari Bagh”as an actor. To Odia audience , he is the most remembered star villain
He directed as many as 19 Odia Films and his first venture as director was “Daiba Dauidi” in 1990 and his last directed and acted film was “Om Sai Ram”.
A successful showman in Ollywood had also tried his luck as actor in Odiya TV Seriel “Mo Jejema” aired in Zee Kalinga.
He has introduced many new actors in his movies and made them front line actors, such as Sabyasachi Mohapatra ( Pagala Premi), Anubhav Mohanty ( I Love You) and Babushan Mohanty ( Romeo:The lover boy).
During his 30 years tenure, he got several state-level awards and accreditation from media and Oriya cine public at large.
Earlier he has suffered from Cancer and had undergone treatment at Christian Medical Collge, Vellore with advanced stage of blood cancer detected in April 2008. However he recovered from that and again had started his film career in Ollywood industry in 2012 by directing “Om Sai Ram”. Recently six month back he again become sick and admitted in hospital.
A pall of gloom descended in the state as well as movie fraternity after the shocking news broke.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik , Minister of state for Culture and Tourism Asok Chandra Panda and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan condoled the death of Hara Patnaik.
