SEBI Launches SMS Service Against Flawed Companies

Securities and Exchange Board ofIndia(SEBI) Monday launched a SMS service to make the investors aware about the companies giving false information.

The regulatory body said that more than 150 ponzi schemes are operating in the financial market which have collected more than Rs 13 thousand crore.

Market regulator also said ‘the sms platform has been started to stop flawed companies which were spreading wrong information and are duping gullible public by promising astronomical returns on their investment
