Rajya Sabha Admits Motion Of Impeachment Against MP High court Judge SK Gangele

Rajya Sabha has admitted the motion of impeachment moved by 58 members of the House against Madhya Pradesh High Court judge, Justice S K Gangele.

The MPs had earlier this month submitted the motion to Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari for initiating the process.

The High Court Judge has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman Judge in Gwalior. The woman Judge had made serious allegations against Justice Gangele after resigning on July 15 last year. Justice Gangele is now serving in the Principal Bench in Jabalpur.

If the Rajya Sabha takes up the impeachment motion, it will be the third such case in Parliament’s history and the second in the Upper House.
