50 killed and 500 injured in deadly terror attack in Sri Lanka during Easter Mass

Colombo, April 21:

Serial bomb blasts rocked Sri Lanka amid Easter celebrations on Sunday that killed at least 59 lives and left as many as 500 persons injured.

The terror attack occurred at three hotels and three churches, according to official sources.

The Sri Lanka Prime Minister has convened emergency meeting to deal with the situation.

Sri Lankan news agency, News First, reported that explosions were heard near St. Anthony’s Church in Kochikade, St. Sebastian’s Church in Katuwapitiya, Shangri La hotel, Cinnamon Grand Hotel, and a church in Batticaloa.

Police are investigating the matter.
