Smart City Delegation From Canada To Visit AP Telangana

A Smart city delegation from Canada will visit the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh on March 30 and 31.

Canada’s Consul General in Bengaluru Sidney Frank, who is responsible for Canada’s relations with South India, will lead a business mission to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The delegation comprises sixteen Canadian infrastructure and clean technology companies were looking to contribute to the development of Indian smart cities.

The delegation will participate in day-long workshop on ‘Shaping the South – Emerging Smart City Opportunities’ in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, organized by the Canadian Trade Commissioner’s Service, and also explore collaboration opportunities with Indian business partners and key local government and industry contacts, according to official sources here today.

Another highlight of the delegation visit will be the launch of the publication Building India’s Smart Cities: A Canadian PPP Approach, which presents Canadian success stories related to Private Public Partnerships (PPP) and Canada’s approach to building thriving Urban centers using the PPP mode.
