Rajasthan Govt. To Enhance Reward For Whistle-Blowers Against Female Foeticide

The Rajasthan government has decided to enhance the encouragement amount for the whistle-blowers who report about the female foeticide or gender determination test at a pathology or hospital.
State health minister Rajendra Rathore in a release said that to implement the Pre Concept and Pre Natal Diagnostic Technique (PCPNDT) Act effectively in the state, incentive to informers has been increased to Rs 2 lakh from Rs 1 lakh earlier.
The Health Minister said that the state’s health department is dedicatedly working on bringing the sex ratio to a higher level and discourage the practice of female foeticide in the state.
