Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty enter Men’s Doubles Final of Thailand Open

In Badminton, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have stormed into the finals of Thailand Open in the men’s doubles category.
The Indian pair defeated the 19th-ranked Korean pair of Ko Sung Hyun and Shin Baek Cheol 22-20, 22-24, 21-9 in a hard fought semifinals at Bangkok Saturday.
With this win they have become the first Indian pair to enter the summit clash of a BWF Super 500 tournament in the men’s doubles category.
It is the first final of the 2019 season for Rankireddy and Shetty, the men’s doubles silver medallist at 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The unseeded India combination will face third seeds Li Jun Hui and Liu Yu Chen of China in the summit clash tomorrow.
